OPTIX FLAT Z-XOTKtcdp cable: a flat cable with dimensions of 7.0x4.0mm (8.6x4.6mm for 24J), very light (35kg/km for 24J) single tube construction, great flexibility and durability against dragging, HDPE jacket, UV radation resistant, temperature range between -30°C & 70°C, reinforced with two 1.7mm diameter FRP rods, fully dielectric - equivalent to Z-XOTKtcdp. Maximum installation tension: 1000N.


The Cable System is based on the Optical Fibre Cable Colour Coding "EIA/TIA-598" standard. The tube contains up to 24 optical fibres and is filled with a hydrophobic gel to protect the fibres from moisture and vibration. To provide additional structural strength two FRP rods (∅1.8mm) were embedded in the outer layer of the HDPE coating. Cables are designed for installation in primary and secondary tele-technical canalisation systems by mechanical methods (cable pulling) and for aerial installations with spans of up to 70m.
